Techboard is pleased to present its funding report covering funding events confirmed in the March 2018 quarter, involving startups and young tech companies which are eligible for a listing on Techboard. Data is collated by the Techboard team from public sources both manually and via semi-automated screening of the over 2000 companies that are actively tracked. Techboard also has deals reported via relationships with investors, investment groups and angel groups across the country.Techboard would especially like to thank Melbourne Angels, Brisbane Angels, Gold Coast Angels and Perth Angels for their on-going collaboration and all people who submitted information to us via our new Funding Event submission form and companies who announced their funding events on Techboard using our announcements platform.
The world has changed a considerable amount since Techboard went live in June 2015 as a Western Australian focussed startup and tech directory. When we went live with the directory we set up the search engine so that users could start their search by state or company category. We also use these categories in our various data products such as our funding reports and the Month in Aussie Startup and Tech. In the rapid moving startup world new companies are always emerging that mirror or launch the latest in technology and market trends. In order to keep our company categorisation relevant and useful we have twice now had to revise our categories.
During February the Techboard team were busy with a major company re-categorisation project (more on that later).We have had less time to devote to the partly manual identification of milestones and funding outcomes on over 2000 companies so this month we bring you an abridged version of "The Month in Australian Startup and Tech" Report for February 2018.
Today is International Women’s Day and to celebrate we thought we would do a little analysis of the list of top 100 trending startups and Young Tech Companies for 2017 to celebrate the companies in that list that were founded or led by women.

Techboard correspondent Matthew Parker from MitchelLake recently spoke with Bradley Delamare, CEO of Tank Stream Labs who have been very busy expanding. Since becoming anchor tenant in the recently opened Sydney Startup Hub and preparing to launch in Perth, Tank Stream Labs is now the largest tech co-working space in Australia by floor area. Bradley is also a member of Techboard’s Panel of Experts for NSW which provides a valuable input into the monthly Techboard Ranking. Matthew spoke with Bradley about Tank Stream Labs growth plans and corporates partnering with startups.
