Our very first mixed format event with live and virtual panellists and audience... pretty challenging but I think we pulled it off... learned some lessons for next time though.Ā

Techboard

Techboard recently released our Female Founder Funding Report in which we analysed funding received by Australian Startups over the last four financial years based on the gender of the founding team. In association with Think & GrowĀ andĀ Ernst & Young we are pleased to be holding a Techboard Roundtable to dig a little deeper into some of the findings in the report. Our previous Roundtables can be viewed here.
To open the event Techboard CEO Peter van Bruchem will present the results of Female Founder Funding Report. This will then be followed by our panellists discussing the findings of the report facilitated by Kate Griffiths of EY.
There will be an opportunity for audience members to pose questions before and during the event.
Issues that will be discussed at the Roundtable will include:
- why female founded companies raise less capital
- why female founders raise smaller rounds
- do female founded startups ask for less funding than male counterparts? Or are FF startups offered less funding?
and many more.Ā 
With the input from our expert panelists and the wisdom in the audience we hope to uncover some of the reasons behind the findings and suggest steps that can be taken to improve the balance and also someĀ useful advice for female founders hoping to improve their fundraising success or scale.
