Tape Ark CEO & Founder Guy Holmes recently spent a few days in Beijing with Professor Brian O’Brien at the Chinese Academy of Space Technology (CAST) discussing Cheng’e 3 and the Yutu rover, the effects of lunar dust, and data analysis of measurements from both Professor O’Brien’s Apollo mission data as well as that acquired by the Chinese. The data from the Apollo missions (which is still very relevant to any future expeditions to the moon) is currently stored in the Tape Ark portal. Working with this data inspired this article here on the value of exploration data from the Moon.
