Fantastic achievement! CEO and Director of BuildingApprovals.com, Chris Dorian and his team have been announced as a finalist for the Start IT Up WA Challenge.

The Start IT Up WA Challenge is a competition envisaged by Innovation Minister Bill Marmion and WA Government Chief Information Officer Giles Nunis. It aims to nurture innovative, technology-based solutions to government problems.
If we are successful, we could win a combined pool of $100,000 but more important for us will be the ability to collaborate with the state government departments.

Our first product that we have launched is called "Builder's E-commerce". (http://buildersecommerce.com.au) It's an innovative way for builders to embed into their sites and let their users play with designs and check planning restrictions. It captures leads, qualifies them and can even sign the client up to a pre-contract to get drawings together for a final contract price and agreement between a builder and a customer.
The proposal for the Start IT Up WA Challenge is our secret project for the second stage of the company's roadmap, the next stage of development will allow 100% of residential projects to be assessed for planning and building permit automation.
