Australian 3D design technology company, Makers Empire, is celebrating multiple recent wins in both Australia and abroad.

In October, Mandi Dimitriadis, Makers Empire’s Director of Learning, won the Winnovation Award in the open category. The Winnovation Awards celebrate South Australian women who are leading the way in their respective fields.

In the same month, Makers Empire was awarded a LeanLab fellowship for a six-month research pilot and accelerator: through LeanLab we will develop a better understanding of how our 3D learning program might serve American schools. LeanLab helps build communities and launch transformational innovations into American K12 schools.

Finally, also during October, Makers Empire was a state finalist in the Telstra Business Awards in the Social Impact category. The annual Telstra Business Awards celebrate Australia's most innovative businesses.

In November, the winning streak continued, Last week, Makers Empire won the inaugural pitch competition at EduTech Asia, Asia’s largest education conference. Makers Empire was represented by Anthony Chhoy, Makers Empire’s co-founder. The company’s prizes include:

- Automatic entry into the first cohort of Singapore’s EduSpaze Accelerator, a new EdTech accelerator that will help Makers Empire develop its Singapore and South East Asia strategy;
- Review of our Design Thinking program by around 100 Finnish educators in the Education Alliance Finland for certification of pedagogical quality; and
- $5,000 cash.
