Techboard Startup Ranking #6
For the period ending 18 November 2015
This fortnight our top 5 is dominated by listed companies and telecommunication companies, with Norwood Systems, ZipTel, newly-listed Fastbrick Robotics and Hazer taking the top 4 spots and unlisted Trackem taking out the no.5 spot
Telco Norwood Systems has scored strongly across all of our categories, with strong gains in web rankings and social media traction, and significant press coverage following its strong share price gains and announced $5.2m capital raise. Norwood also received one nomination from our panel of experts, and CEO Paul Ostergaard spoke at an eGroup forum.

Another WA telco, Ziptel picked up two nominations and some significant press coverage, following its announcements on signing celebrity endorsements from Indian cricket stars.
Robot bricklayer Fastbrick Robotics completes the top 3 as a newcomer to the Techboard listing and to the ASX, having only just begun publicly trading on Wednesday.
Asset management solutions provider Trackem remains in our top 10 as it continues to reap the benefits of its Innovator of the Year award. Other unlisted companies in our top 10 include MyGuru, which picked up the first prize ($10k) in the Founders Institute program, as well as oneVR and duinoPRO both of whom have been actively using Techboard’s announcements platform to raise their profile. oneVR also took part in Open House Perth the weekend before last and featured as a startup to watch in Techboard’s Joining the Dots report.
Another ASX newcomer, elearning platform Velpic also made our top 10 following an impressive first day of trading and appointing a new chairwoman.
Techboard itself broke into the top 10 for the first time, largely as a result of press coverage of its startup ecosystem report. It’s worth mentioning Techboard also had the best-performing website of our top 10, in terms of global rank, page views per visitor and daily time on site, as recorded by Alexa.
Be sure to register for our free event in Perth on December 3rd, where we will be celebrating our startups of the year as well as holding a panel session on how startups and tech companies can raise their profile, chaired by Charlie Gunningham with six founders sharing their experiences.
