Financial services executive with 30+ years experience in investment management, strategy development and execution, sales, risk management, governance, accounting, taxation, stockbroking and IT. Managing director (now Chair) of Hyperion Asset Management from 2012 to 2020 after a 16 year involvement in its creation and development. With a terrific team of partners over a period of 23 years we have built a funds management business that started from zero and has become a recognised and multi award-winning investment performance leader in Australian and Global equities.
In 2013, Hyperion won overall fund manager of the year in the Lonsec / Money Management awards and in March 2016 Hyperion won the overall fund manager of the year category in the Morningstar awards. I am involved in philanthropic activities both as a participant and a donor, so that I can put back into the community the experience and the results of good fortune I have gained from my career. I have a particular passion for the education of children and in particular their artistic education. I was very fortunate to have spent 7 years as a director and treasurer of the Sydney Youth Orchestras. The Sydney Youth Orchestra is an organisation dedicated to the classical musical training of young musicians. It provides first hand practical orchestral experience to music students up to the age of 25. Its students have gone on to hold senior positions in orchestras in Australia and around the world.
