We believe that alignment of interests can only be achieved when everyone is not only in the same boat, but travelling in the same class. We look to build a simpatico relationship with our founders, and where possible, invest alongside them via ordinary equity as co-owners of the business. The way we see it, a complicated deal structure won't solve a poor personality fit any more than the right prenup will salvage a crappy marriage.
