Fishburners was established in 2011 as a registered charity, and has become Australia’s longest-enduring and largest tech startup community. Our purpose is to help tech startup entrepreneurs and their teams with the earliest stages of building and growing a successful tech startup.
Fishburners has been part of the founding story of some of Australia’s most successful tech startups and is well-known in the tech startup industry for its well-attended events and authentic ‘shabby chic’ work spaces.
Our customers (“members” or “Fishies”) are the founders, employees and contractors engaged by early-stage tech startups who rely on us for an affordable, flexible workspace, professional development and social engagement, as well as connections to potential cofounders, employees, investors, service providers and customers.
On a typical day, several hundred members occupy flexible coworking desks at Fishburners’ premises and many hundreds more stay connected with our community online, via our SAAS platform, Founders Hub, Slack, email newsletters, programs and live- and on-demand events.
