Bill's executive background is in Investment Banking with extensive experience in advising leading Australian companies on financial issues. He was Chairman and CEO of Potter Warburg (now UBS Australia) and then Executive Deputy Chairman of McIntosh Securities Limited (now Bank of America Merrill Lynch Australia). During his career in Investment Banking he specialised in Corporate Financial advisory, Capital Market transactions and developing and implementing Merger and Acquisition strategy.
Since retiring from an executive role in Investment Banking almost 20 years ago, he has been involved in a number of non-executive Directorships, often as Chairman. He has focused on entrepreneurial type business and also on small to medium size companies.
Bill has broad industry exposure including entertainment, hospitality, consumer products, construction and development and financial services. He has also been extensively involved in the NGO sector focusing on issues impacting young people, health and also the arts and culture.
