VAWT-X

VAWT-X Energy Pty Ltd is a South Australian start-up company first established in August 2018. It’s immediate focus is on certifying and commercializing Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT) technology with the aim of large scale manufacture for the world-wide medium scale wind sector.

To date it has completed proof of concept and owns exclusive rights to a unique 2-bladed helical VAWT design that is patented in China, UK, & USA. Rigorous and extensive simulated testing has demonstrated it will enable a quantum leap in VAWT efficiency that has until now only been achieved by the best horizontal axis wind turbines.

Private equity funding and a State Government grant has been received to facilitate the manufacture of prototypes. Testing and certification will be done in collaboration with the Flinders University of South Australia and RE Innovations LLC.

The outcome will be a reliable renewable energy generator that combines high-performance and efficiency with the simplicity of design, low noise and low visual impact.
