New renewable energy resources are being developed, but as billionaires bicker and governments grapple over the best way to do it, we need a collective and rapid response to alleviate the creep to 1.5 degrees and it's catastrophic ramifications.
Quite rightly, governments, shareholders, boards, employees and the general public are scrutinising investments in CO2 emitting energy projects. With this scrutiny now the norm, we must find ways to navigate the immediate social and ethical dilemmas resulting from the need to power our nation and maintain our economy.
