Prior to launching as an energy retailer PowerPlay has developed a new app that gamifies the energy market. To highlight 'when' the grid is full of renewable energy or fossil fuels and its impact on the cost of energy. You can get reward points for charging your phone with cheap renewable energy and then use them later to get a discount on your power bill but be warned if you charge with too much expensive fossil fuel you may get nothing.

Many people don't know that new solar farms and roof top solar are driving the price of power negative during the day but the big retailers are not passing on these savings.
