Globally focussed individual with a passion for technology enabled sustainable progress. Over the last 20 years I've lived in several countries and worked across a variety of industries. I've travelled to over 40 countries and have seen the world transform. In the next 20 years, no doubt this change will only accelerate. I’m concerned that we are consuming our natural resources at an alarming rate. Our way of life is currently unsustainable, through our make-use-waste society. I believe that technology can enable a more efficient world, the key enablers are now affordable and accessible. Technology enablers such as social, mobile, analytics, cloud and the internet of things can allow us to change the way we consume our resources to be more effective and efficient. By leveraging my technical knowledge, enterprise architecture and strategic skills, industry experience and financial studies, I am looking to passionately pursue this massive opportunity. By influencing business strategy, altering business architecture and by targeted business case development, I hope to bring my experience as a lead consultant with solutions that create enterprise-wide benefits. The trends of the circular economy, collaborative consumption and the shared economy are now a reality with these technical enablers. They enable new business models that are reshaping the way we create, distribute and consume. I intend to use my passion for the planet and by applying systems thinking to promote new efficient asset usage. By making assets more visible, available and utilised I believe we can reduce our resource footprint, “I don’t want a drill, I want a hole in the wall”. Organisations, markets and entire industries are now being disrupted by these trends. It’s a case of disrupt or be disrupted and this is a once in a lifetime opportunity which I plan on grabbing with both hands.
