Elevator Pitch:

Equatorial Launch Australia (ELA) owns and operates the Arnhem Space Centre (ASC), a multi-user commercial spaceport in East Arnhem Land in the Northern Territory, Australia at 12° S. For our first space launch, ELA has been contracted by NASA to launch three rockets to space from our site in June and July 2022.

This will be NASA’s first ever space Launch from a commercial Launch Site and Australia’s first ever commercial Space Launch.

ELA and the proximity of the ASC to the equator, provides access to the full range of orbits and inclinations, offering rocket companies and their payload customers: operational freedom, significant economic benefits and simplicity/reduced risk for both their launch and overall mission design.

At ELA we are more than just a landlord. We provide a comprehensive suite of value-added services, supporting the mission and launch planning, regulatory licencing and compliance assistance, launch preparation and conduct, recovery of vehicles/stages, payload management and fuel storage and preparation. Our method of operation is to anticipate and reduce client risk and associated admin/logistics burden for all operational launch scenarios.

Due to our low cost base, equatorial launch benefits, scale and flexible access to space, ELA provides a world class value proposition and now that we have completed our Phase 1 development can rightly to be the world’s premier multi-user commercial spaceport.
