Contactile

Contactile is a Sydney-based start-up company established in mid 2019. Our sensing technology was developed at UNSW Sydney with funding support from the Australian Research Council and US Office of Naval Research Global and ongoing funding from the Science Foundation Ireland through University College Dublin.
Contactile aims at innovating tactile sensory for robots and enabling smart dexterous robotic gripping. This is done through provision of a tactile sensor that provides the sensory advantages of the human hand without the physical limitations related to size, strength, environment and fatigue.
Contactile is a current participant of CSIRO's ON Accelerator 5 program, run by research engineers and academics Heba Khamis, Stephen Redmond and Benjiamin Xia, currently operating out of UNSW Australia's Graduate School of Biomedical Engineering school.
