Avicena is a private company backed by the Australian government. Our mission is to develop low-cost ultra-high-throughput molecular diagnostic and screening instruments to detect SARS-CoV-2 and other pathogens.

Learning from the experience of the global pandemic our platform is designed for pandemic-scale throughput, being able to screen up to 92,160 individuals eith saliva samles every 24 hours.

Major near-term applications include large-scale sentinel testing of entire suburbs, regions, and cities; high-density environments such as airports and cruise ships; and crowded places such as factories complexes, major public events, and religious festivals.
