Acova Pty Ltd is a joint venture established to commercialise next generation AI driven grain quality assessment technology, combining advanced imaging hardware with machine learning to transform one of the last analogue processes in the global grain supply chain.

Acova's flagship platform is a Visual Analysis (VA) solution that automates grain inspection with a focus on consistency, accuracy, and transparency. The system detects grain defects, foreign material, and weed seeds across key commodities including wheat, barley, and oats, applying standardised, repeatable classification that removes variability inherent in manual assessment.

Developed in partnership with CBH Group and validated through multi site deployments, the technology has demonstrated strong performance in real world harvest conditions. It delivers consistent grading outcomes across sites, operators, and time, while providing full transparency through image based evidence available in real time to growers and operators.

From a commercial perspective, Acova enables bulk handlers to materially reduce grading variability, minimise disputes with growers, and strengthen compliance with industry standards. The platform improves operational confidence during peak receival periods, reduces rework and escalation costs, and creates a defensible, auditable record of every assessment.

At a system level, this consistency unlocks network wide standardisation of grain quality data, enabling better blending decisions, improved inventory quality visibility, and more informed trading outcomes. Over time, the aggregation of high quality, standardised data positions Acova as a foundational layer for advanced analytics, benchmarking, and AI driven optimisation across the grain supply chain.

Acova is now scaling this capability from pilot to production, positioning its platform as critical infrastructure for standardising grain quality assessment across domestic and global supply chains.
