Diversifly Founder and Director, Lucie Hammond attended Londonā€™s TechXLR8 Conference last week and participated in the Leaders in Tech Summit hosted by Google UK.

ā€œI was privileged to sit in on intimate fireside chats with some of the worldā€™s most influential tech entrepreneurs and business people today. It was surreal to be chatting over a champagne reception with such successful and innovative minds, who were also supportive and interested in our VR training product,ā€ said Lucie.

ā€œPresentations were followed with the opportunity to break out into a smaller ā€˜leaders in tech think tank groupsā€™. I contributed to ā€˜the opportunities for AR/VR adoption in enterprise,ā€™ which was moderated by Thomas Gere, CEO and Founder of the AVR Realities Centre. Funnily enough I was 1 of only a small handful of people producing work in the area, and the remainder were representatives from big banks and professional services firms, curious to find out more and get on the bandwagon, which I think is evidence that Aussie start-ups are right up there leading the packā€ she continued.

Presenters at Google UK headquarters included;

ā€¢ Cindy Rose, UK CEO of Microsoft;
ā€¢ Thomas Gere, CEO and Founder of the AVR Realities Centre; and
ā€¢ Benedict Evans, Founder and Partner from Andreessen Horowitz, who currently manage $4 billion in tech assets and boast several high profile exits including Skype, Instagram, and Oculus VR.

Key themes discussed this year included artificial intelligence (AI), virtual and augmented reality (VR and AR), IoT, 5G, connected cars, drones, robotics, blockchain360, and the future of tech/what's next.

ā€œMuch of Diversiflyā€™s raison eā€™tre was echoed here in these forums, giving me even more confidence that our application of VR to enhance connection and interaction for humans to excel in the future of work, is happily on trackā€ said Lucie.

London Tech Week, of which the Leaders Summit was a part amassed 15,000 technology professionals all wanting to discover the latest cutting-edge technologies and play a role in the tech that will power our connected future.
