Mark is the Managing Director and co-founder of Armitage Associates.,
Armitage Associates is a growth equity firm founded in 2016 in partnership with the Schwartz family. Armitage provides capital and management support to small and medium sized businesses in Australia and New Zealand.
Mark started his career as a consultant with McKinsey & Co in Sydney. In 2009 he founded Longreach Capital in Chicago, a search fund backed by a group of investors including U.S. venture capitalist Bill Egan and private equity fund Prairie Capital. Mark returned to Australia in 2011 where he spent over 5 years leading the investment team at M. H. Carnegie & Co as the firm’s Investment Director and Partner.
Mark is currently a Non-Executive Director of Iron Capital, BlueFit Group, Osteon Medical, SASH, Droppoint, Wastech Engineering, Outline Global and MYP. Mark was a Baker Scholar at Harvard Business School and holds a Degree in Commerce (Finance and Accounting) and Economics from the University of Queensland.
