| Elevator Pitch: | Matilda exists to improve the lives of the 190 million people with endometriosis around the world. People with endometriosis face long, convoluted, and invalidating journeys, but not with Matilda, a one-stop digital platform providing evidence-based and affordable education, symptom tracking, behaviour change support, group therapy, and 1-on-1 telehealth – all from your pocket! ‘Matilda: Endometriosis care in your pocket’ was born after clinician researchers Jo Morris (Pelvic Health Physiotherapist) and Dr Kevin Wernli (Physiotherapist with a PhD in persistent pain) took out first prize at the 2022 Perth Biodesign for Digital Health course with teammates Dr Niamh Troy (Biologist and Researcher) and Maggie Woloszyn (MBA, Femtech Founder). Passion to provide better care for people with painful conditions like endometriosis, and conviction that there was a better way has led to the development of a Matilda MVP, the formation of a lived experience and clinical advisory board, and Matilda’s first customers! Matilda was also a finalist in the 2022 Curtinnovation Awards, and won first prize at the Golden Ticket Pitchfest at the Freo Start Up Fest as part of West Tech Fest in December 2022. |
