Greenhill Energy is an integrated solution-based green manufacturer, focussed on upcycling sustainable biomass and landfill waste into low-cost clean hydrogen energy and high-value manufactured green industrial products such as green urea and synthetic fuels. These products are designed to serve existing domestic markets and to support the growth of emerging hydrogen markets.

Collaborating closely with our supply chain partners, we strive to eliminate landfill waste entirely by transforming it into a valuable resource. Through innovative technologies and sustainable practices, we aim to divert all waste from landfills, converting it into clean hydrogen energy, green industrial products, and other valuable materials.

Our goal is to create a circular economy where nothing is wasted, and everything is repurposed for the benefit of the environment and future generations.

The Riverbend Energy Hub‚Ñ¢ Project
Our flagship clean hydrogen project, the Riverbend Energy Hub‚Ñ¢, will utilise reliable and proven technology to produce hydrogen, while diverting significant waste from landfill and materially reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

This state-of-the-art facility, Stage 1 of which is aiming to commence in 2025 will see the construction of a single gasifier that can process up to 60,000 tons of dry biomass or waste per annum, and an associated integrated Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) plant to sell the energy produced into the wholesale electricity market, that in turn supports further development of intermittent renewable energy generation types (such as solar and wind).

Directly in line with the South Australian Government’s Waste Strategy, Climate Change Action Plan, Energy and Mining Strategy and Bioenergy Roadmap, this innovative project will not only address market needs but also see the creation of many jobs in the local area.
