With 52,000 specialists tasked with looking after the 26 million people in Australia, she could see the rise in the number of patients living with chronic disease becoming the next healthcare crisis. aving lost several family members in the past few years to chronic diseases, the fight is both personal and professional to her. She knows there had to be a better way to support people living with chronic diseases to live a better life. And so Annuo was born.

Why was Annuo Created
Today, around 23 million Australians live with one or more chronic diseases, and this number is only going to get worse. 90% of people die or become disabled as a direct result of complications of their condition.

Funding provides extra resources, better medications and access to better health facilities, but it doesn’t solve the people factors that influence the key factors behind the crisis.

For many having a chronic condition can feel like a full-time job, and just too hard.Annuo was created to help solve that problem - to put all of a patient’s health information in one place, and to centre them in their own healthcare journey.

Annuo also recognises the importance of a the other people in “people-centred care”. With more patients wanting healthcare that aligns with their own values, Annuo connects them with the right healthcare provider.
