Cleantech Group has named Wattwatchers Digital Energy in its inaugural APAC 25 list of up-and-coming 'sustainable innovation' companies from the Asia Pacific region, which was officially released in Singapore on September 21, 2018.
The team at Wattwatchers is especially delighted because the new APAC 25 list is constructed through an independent process at arms length from eligible companies, with the final selections made through a rigorous external evaluation that includes expert panel recommendations.
Wattwatchers was one of several Australian companies selected, with the others being GreenSync (smart grid), Relectrify (energy storage) and BioGill (water and wastewater). China had the largest number of inclusions (seven), followed by Singapore (six), India and Australia (four each), Japan, Taiwan, New Zealand and Bangladesh (one each).
The APAC 25 is a new sister list to the international Cleantech Group's 10-year-old Global Cleantech 100 program, and has been made possible by the support of Enterprise Singapore. It is being launched ahead of Cleantech Group's first Cleantech Forum Asia on November 13-14, 2018.
Cleantech Group says: 'The APAC 25 list, like its parent program the Global Cleantech 100, seeks to highlight 25 leading private and independent sustainable innovation companies from around the Asia Pacific region, which are catching the attention of people in the market.'
The message to Wattwatchers, and others on the list, was simple: 'We're excited to celebrate your achievement as a 2018 APAC 25 company!'
