Soter Analytics, a UK/Australian digital health & insurtech company, has completed its pre-seed fundraising round by raising A$150K from influential investors in both Europe and Australia. These funds will be used to complete development of the SoterSpine and deliver 3 major trials during 2017 – 2 in the resources industry in Australia and the other for a leading European construction company.
Founded by Matthew Hart and Alexey Pavlenko, Soter created the SoterSpine to help industrial workers avoid musculoskeletal injuries. It collects data through a wearable sensor that is attached to existing work clothing, and algorithms detect and measure hazardous movements. Insights are then communicated back to the worker and helps them make changes that ultimately reduce their probability of experiencing an injury.
Soter continues to raise its seed fundraising round to build a sales process to take advantage of a product that is suited to various industries in multiple geographies.
