The SIA blockchain technology will be used to offer a viable storage alternative for critical controls such as it’s incident and event forensic logging service. Red Piranha believes the SIA Blockchain storage technology is ideal for log storage having the capacity to create detailed storage ledgers and will reduce the cost of log storage by over 50% compared to other traditional storage mediums. The ability for Red Piranha to be able to reduce the cost of storage is significant for small and medium enterprise to address cost feasibility issues around the inclusion of this critical control in their information security management systems (ISMS).
Sia was originally conceived at HackMIT 2013. Whit the aim to liberate the unused storage space of the world and unite it into a worldwide free market for data. Sia leverages the capacity of blockchain technology to enable distributed networks to reach consensus in a secure and trustless way. Cryptographically secured smart contracts ensure the encryption and transfer of data with no possibility for a third party to interfere in any way. Sia is a new approach to cloud storage platforms.
