We are pleased to announce that our first iOS app release the 'Our Epic Day' app has been accepted into Facebook's FbStart app accelerator programme under the Bootstrap Track.
FbStart is a new initiative launched by Facebook designed to help early stage mobile start-ups build, grow and monetize their apps.
Our Epic Day app is a simple to use photo-slideshow maker app for capturing and curating photographs during an epic event or day out. When it’s over it instantly makes a classic slideshow with an appropriate sound-track to save or share on social media.
Acceptance on the FbStart Bootstrap Track brings a raft of benefits including up to $40,000 worth of free tools and services from some big name partners to the programme (such as Amazon Web Services, Drop-box, Hootsuite, Mailchimp and Stripe) and a very healthy $500 in advertising credit for Facebook ads. Facebook also offers access to a community of other program members and also provides personal mentorship.
Following an online application (and a long wait) an acceptance email arrived stating “Your app was chosen because of its impressive development so far and it’s potential for continued growth”. This endorsement has given us renewed confidence and also some amazing facilities to push-on and continue the development of this app brand and also others which we have in the pipeline.
