Covocate.com announces the appointment of Hon Cheryl Edwardes AM as non-executive chair.
A solicitor by profession, Mrs Edwardes has formerly held the positions of Executive General Manager for External Affairs for Hancock Prospecting and Special Counsel at Minter Ellison in Perth where she practised in government relations, climate change and environment regulation and compliance.
During her political career Mrs. Edwardes was appointed as Western Australia's first female Attorney General and held the positions of Minister for the Environment and Minister for Labour Relations. She also has broad experience and networks within China's business community.
Mrs. Edwardes was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in the 2016 Queen's Birthday Honours.
The appointment of Mrs. Edwardes comes at an exciting period for Covocate which has experienced considerable growth in the past six months. As a long-standing advocate for workplace diversity Mrs. Edwardes was a clear match to the values and goals of Covocate. As well as Her depth of knowledge and expertise She brings a strong record of implementing organisational change.
