Astron is extremely excited to officially launch RPM - a web based application designed to assist environmental managers capture,visualise, report and share rehabilitation performance data.

RPM offers purpose built metrics for minesite rehabilitation, converting remote sensed data into highly accurate monitoring tools and actionable information. With metrics in the key areas of landform geometry, landform stability and vegetation, RPM provides mine operators with access to information at the landscape scale and across their entire minesite. And being delivered via a web mapping system, RPM allows on demand access to data visualisation, reporting, collaboration and sharing.
On the launch of RPM Astron's Technical Director Julian Kruger stated that "RPM offers an approach to minesite rehabilitation performance assessment that is accurate, repeatable, scalable and cost effective. The project itself is one we have been working on with industry for the past 3 years, taking remote sensing data from real use cases to produce metrics that make operational sense to regulators, mine operators and rehabilitation practitioners. The end result is pretty exciting and something we're really proud of".
