———

Previously, I've written/founded apps reaching >15M downloads & >1M DAU, have founded/co-founded companies which have been acquired by Flickr/GameStop, and closed deals reaching 30M consumers / multi-$M deal value with companies like Dell, HP and Microsoft. In larger orgs I have managed efforts deployed to hundreds of millions of users, across mobile, desktop, server, and web, and have led teams combining numerous personality types, skills and drives to create an atmosphere of growth, learning and respect.

A hacker/tinkerer by nature, play projects I've made over the years range from personal safety products to live audio filtering, medical applications to marketing management software, realtime transcription, home automation/IoT, business tools, data analysis, augmented reality applications & others. When not advising or working on projects for fun & experimentation, I spend my time mentoring, and learning from the experiences of others.

Product Recognition:
• 2009, Fences: "It wasn't five minutes after installing Fences I realized I'd be using it for the rest of my computing life. It's that good." ~PCWorld
• 2011, Bins: "Bins is so tightly integrated it feels more like a set of new features than a separate application. For a system utility, that is a compliment of the highest order." ~PCWorld
• 2013, PhotoDrive: "The gestures are really natural and intuitive, unlike some apps where you struggle to learn the new interactions. Here, you immediately just get it. And as soon as you do, you realize Apple’s Photos app is lacking." ~TechCrunch
• 2015, Flickr Camera Roll: "Flickr may have my favorite twist on 3D Touch so far, with a slight change to how peek works. As soon as you try it, you wonder why Apple didn't figure this out in the first place." ~The Verge
