Techboard and Angels of Australia partner to present the National Angel Awards 2018

Techboard is very proud to be partnering with the Angels of Australia to present the National Angel Awards 2018 which will celebrate the contribution made by Angel Investors to the Australian Startup and Tech Ecosystem

Much activity has occurred around Australia in recent years with increased public awareness and focus on start-up and emerging company activity. Tax incentives have been made available via the ESIC scheme, and for investors to take advantage of those incentives, they need both the source of quality of deals, investment outcomes and avenues to learn about the process and how to add value.

Information on angel investment activity is disparate and fragmented, with no central qualified source until recently. Since 2016 Techboard has been tracking data on angel investment activity to fill the gap in knowledge, and now Angels of Australia have partnered with us to provide additional focus.

Angels of Australia was established in 2018 to raise awareness and involvement in the angel investor stage of investment. The group’s primary focus is on events designed to bring all angel groups together to strengthen and grow a collaborative community nationally. It is an informal group of experienced angel investors, affiliated with Australia’s prominent angel investment groups and Techboard.

Working with Angel Loop in Queensland, Gold Coast Angels and Techboard, the group seeks to reinvigorate an annual meeting to foster nation-wide communications and interaction. Previous events were delivered under the Australian Association of Angel Investors banner with the last event in 2013.
